R90 12 point torq size?

Anyone know what size the 12 point torq's is on the 17" R90 wheels?

Going to have them powder coated, black centers with red outside ring.

Thanks
Chad

They're not actually Torx bolts, so you'll need to ask for a 12-point bit or a "triple square" bit. The size is 8 mm. The bolts can be hard to remove, since there's blue loctite applied to the bolts by the manufacturer. When you put the wheels back together, use loctite as well, and use 28 lbf-ft for the torque setting.

Make sure the coaters don't over do the powder. Build up is going to happen, but too much and the centers won't go back together. I had a heck of a time fitting my R98's back together. DO NOT use the bolts to "suck" the centers down, can strip threads or snap a head off. Personal experience on both.
Otherwise no problem!

Thanks for all the Tips!

Ya kinda figured there would be some build up around the mating surface's that I might need to sand down a little.

Thanks again,
Chad
