Primer on brake calipers?

Heya guys. Anyone here applied primer on your brake calipers before painting them? Basically just so you get a smooth surface instead of the OEM rough surface. Any idea on longevity? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that even if you primed them they'd still have the OEM texture. You should ask Jimmy (aka Red Bull), he'd probably be able to tell how to get it done.

Good luck!

You can knock down some of the texture with a few coats of "high-build" primer and some wet-sanding, but I don't think that will be enough to completely smooth out the surface.
