Sanding brake calipers

I know I saw this somewhere on NAM but cannot find it again! Gah. I know someone here sanded down their stock brake calipers till it's totally smooth and then painted them. What was used? Was it 80 grit sand paper with a sander?

I think as long as they are clean, and you use primer,
it will work out fine. I do not know if you need
high temperature paint (in which case you would
probably not use primer).

I normally clean stuff with brake cleaner
and/or xylene (cheap from home depot).

is this: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-calipers.html the thread you're looking for? use google to search NAM, it works much better than the built in search function
