So happy \ New Tires \But TPMS Service Kit?
So happy \ New Tires \But TPMS Service Kit?
I just want to say I ditched the stock 175/65R15 Michelin Energy for some new 195/60R15 Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position. $100 off right now so I couldn't pass it up.
The drive is awesome. Quiet, smooth, corners better. Even looks like there are 16's on there now with the bigger tire. Okay, maybe not 16's but looks way better than before.
Only grip. I don't know if the tire shop actually used the TPMS Valve Service Kit I paid for. Only $32 with labor on that. It seems to still hold air so if they didn't use the kit then I hope all will be okay down the road since I can't really prove if they did or didn't.
I mention this because I did mark the guts of the valve stem and it looks like they didn't replace that but I can't tell for sure they did all the parts since I can't look inside the tire for the other parts. Anyone have experience with this? Will it be okay if they didn't replace those parts?

If you get a leak in the future - a slow loss of airpressure would be your likely sign.
Most shops will replace this O ring, they don't want the come-back as a result.

Thanks Alex..... I hope they did change the gasket but I have a gut feeling they didn't. Sometimes I wonder if any shop can be trusted. My sister just had a $320 claim with another shop that denied they scratched the heck out of her rims just to replace 2 tires. After a fight of 4 months they finally paid up.
So, I'll keep my pressure gauge on call to check the PSI every few days for any kind of leak.
