if you actually read the article, it blames the shortage due to the new regs in the province of quebec and it appears that other provinces are reluctant
to enact the same regs.

Thanks for that post!!

We've had an unusual early Fall/Winter Snow occurance here, had about 10" where we normally have none. Everyone was out trying to get chains or Winter/Snow Tires including me. We have an '01 Durango 4x4 that got us where we needed to go, but I'm still wanting to get Winter Tires for Molly. Wondering if the lull has begun and I might still be able to get some before April??

Hakka rsi FTW

My DD is a rearwheel drive.
My only concern is people think they can drive like me, so I have to keep an eye on the rearview so I can get out of their way. I can brake, they can't. I can climb on ramps. I actually can drive in the winter
We have winter (Calgary).
Hakka rsi FTW all the way.

(I have WR's on wifey's SUV and they rock - also Nokian)

Let me know what your DD is so I can chase ya down in my Mini w/ the Hakks - been having a lot o' fun w/ all this snow - nobody thinks the mini should cruise the way it does in all this white stuff . . .

The only problem is keeping it clean

Havin' a ball in the snow!... The braking is very impressive too
DSC off??? I find I get around better with it on. It also saves my bacon if you corner too fast, I'm driving all seasons though. Make it up hills others aren't.

Does DSC and snow tires not mix?
