Any reason to switch wheels?
Any reason to switch wheels?
I still have the runflats, which, I want to get rid of, probably in the spring. Is there any reason to switch from the stock wheels that are on my mini now, to a different size? I'm have the S-Winders, which from what I have read are about 17-17.5 pounds each.

I feel like there isn't, based on weight/size, but what about tire size, how wide can I run on a 16 at stock height or possibly a 1" drop?

Optional tire sizes for 16x6.5" rim is large.
Common size for street use would be
205/50-16 which is a little less than stock tire diameter at 24.1"
205/55-16 which is a little taller at 24.9"
If you are lowering 1" then it's safer to go with 205/50-16.
I went from the S-Winders with the runflats to 17" Rotas with low-profile tires - for better handling (which I'm happy with now, even stopped considering switching to the JSW suspension from my SS) and for the looks - I de-chromed my car, the wheels were the last thing, check my gallery
