Getting new tires, bye bye Runflats
Getting new tires, bye bye Runflats
i have finally decided to give up on runflats. even though they have saved more then a few times
i decided since i am getting new tires, i would get rid of the old stock rims as well.
I have already decided on what rim, but just not the dimensions.
this is where i need help, i have never bought aftermarket rims before therefore i do not know which is the best for me.
Specs:
05 MC (Non S)
50k Miles
mostly street, very limited track use. (1-2 times in the last 3years)
New Mexico whether. Mostly hot and dry. 1month of rain, then back to a drought.
Here are the rims i am getting:
i dont know which size to get, can anyone help me?
Also does anyone have any recommendations for a tire as well?
Thank you!

I'd go for 16x7 with the 45 offset for the wheels personally.
I'd look at 205/50/16 size tires. You'll wind up very close to stock rolling diameter, there's pretty big selection of tires in this size, and none of them are too awfully expensive.
Brand and model are a bit tougher to recommend. I'm considering a new set of Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, Goodyear Eagle F1 DS-G3, or if I'm feeling cheeky the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec (not sure about wet performance on these though and they probably won't last too long) when my R56 gets here.

What are the size of your stock wheels? I'd stick with either the 16" or 17" wheel myself, 16" being a bit better for ride quality and on bad roads, 17" mostly for appearances and a slightly improved tire selection.
I just installed Riken Raptors in a 205/40/17 on my car. They're an off-shoot of the Michelin/BF Goodrich brand and cost me about $77 a tire. I can't yet comment on their wet weather traction But they ride better and are quieter than the Pirelli P-Zero Neros they replaced. They seem to have a little less cornering grip, but superior forward grip so I'm very happy with the trade-off. A friend has over 30K miles on a set of these on their SRT4 ACR (Neon) with plenty of tread left and are the ones that directed me towards them.

well i don't really need the appearance to much, i have had runflats for about 2 years. i think anything has a better ride quality then that...
and i believe i have 15" wheels at the moment. they are still stock.
the main thing i need help with is what wheel dimensions to get. rims are somewhat easy to pick out. tires take more research but once i know what size it will make things easier.
