I just had Mintex (OEM Compound) rear pads installed today, but I'm thinking about going with the Mintex Redbox (more aggressive compound) up front along with a slotted rotor. I've only heard good things about Mintex, and for the price I thought it was worth a try. Guess I'll find out.

The first upgraded brake pad I used was Mintex Red box front and rear back in 2003 and they worked fine for street use. Good price, less than stock brake dust, not noisy and stopped like OEM pads. I ran them about about 6 to 8 months and were happy with them.

I changed them later : added upgraded rotors, SS brake lines, Superblue fluid and use Mintex M1144 pads for track lapping sessions and High Performance Driving school events.
