WOW 25 lbs....thats freakin heavy. Looks like I might go with my first choice, the 18" Enkei RPM2's and they are only 18 lbs.

Tenzo's are awesome wheels. I just want less weight also. Any knowledge of the quality of Montegi?
These are only $190 for 18's and weigh about 19lbs.
Not h/j thread.

Nice. I bet that rascal scoots looking at your mods. Have you done a 1/4 mile?
About $260 a wheel? I was thinking a bit less on wheels and more $ under the hood.

No..No 1/4 Mile yet...Been meaning to get down to Englishtown here in Jersey.
Haven't had the time and finally the weather is getting better for us...
Maybe soon though... 260 is close I was checking them out the other day and I think the 18's have gone ^ in price a bit...The only other mod I currently want to do under the hood is a GP Intercooler....only one I feel it's worth making the change for...

Wheezer, any idea how much the 17x7 weigh? Is it unreasonable to think that they would be about the same as the R90's since the 18x8's are about 25 pounds. Does anyone knows what BBK would fit the 17x7 without spacers?

MidniteCoop, great car. A little flashy and tasteful at the same time. IMHO.

About 17.9lbs I'd guess. Falken's site claims 22.1 lbs for 205/45/17 912's. The shipping weight was quoted at 40lbs. So it should be around 17-18lbs.

Midnight Coop, what fender is that? Loks nice with the gills. Also, what front difuser is that too? Looks hot bud! Just got the Type M's in 18's Black with red stripes with low pro tire. Also, what springs are you using for the drop?

Got my type M's and mounted them. I mounted 215/35/18 and they look like rubber bands, i love them! Will post pics soon. The 18x8 are very close fit. very tight tolerance to the strut in the front but all fit with no problem. I am very happy but now wil lower it and mount 23MM sway bar.

Dannyrotorpilot,
did you get the 45et offset on your 18x8s? Please get some pictures posted and let us know about any rubbing issues you may have. hard dips, speed bumps, hard cornering.

Yes I have the 45 offset and no I have not had any rubbing at all. I have not lowered the car so I cant say there will be no rubbing when i do. I dont see how spacers can be installed as they are already poking out. I will post pics soon!

Heres a few pics. I also insluded a pic of the front clearance with the strut. Will be lowered next week along with rear 23MM sway bar. I plan to install a rear diffuser and front air splitter. In the near future I look to install one of ALTAS exhaust as well as M7's AGS-R instake. I am super excited about the cooper and will post more pics as i go!

weezer2282 I really the wheels. Are the Falken tires pretty quiet compared to the Yokohomas you had before? Is your screen name after the bad weezer, my wife has hated them since Rivers Cuomo blew her off trying to get an autograph for our niece who was a big fan on a flight, he did not even pay for the Business class ticket he used miles to upgrade. I do like the song Pork and Beans though.

Even for 18s, 25lbs is a lot to be haulin' around. I think mine are 21lbs, and I can feel a big difference compared to my 16lb Koseis.

But they look cool--so get them!!
