I ordered a set of these as replacement wheels for my Saab since I thought they somewhat resembled the thicker Saab wheel design and when they came I was heartbroken that I would be selling the Saab within the year.

I guess the styling isn't exactly the pomo look that dominates well design nowadays, but there is something about the finish that always gets me. I am getting an IB/W MCS (on the Tokyo Highway Aug 3!) with chrome caps and I'm trying to get the grill switched to chrome so I want to accent those changes with the rims as much as possible and these wheels seem to bring a lot of surface flash.

Also, this size appears to only be available in 16 x 7.5. I want to get Pole Position S-03s so I hope it's not too wide. Are the Type B's available in a 17" rim? If I'm buying a 7.5" wheel then 215/45-17s would be a nice combo.

Thanks

Tom

That combo sounds like a great setup! I peronally have Type B's for one of my winter setups! Very good choice. I also have an option silvery and black Borbet centercap we can get for that wheel. Check it out!

(I know they are 5 lug, but its a GREAT pic of the cap)

Thanks Alex. My first tirerack order was a set of Blizzaks for my Civic Si that came on Type H's which also looked great on the Miata.

Is there a 17" option for the Type B and you don't see any problem with the 205 - 7.5 inch set-up?

The 17 inch Type B I have is too aggreive in offset for the Mini. 205/50/16 S-03 can mount from 5.5-7.5 inch wheel widths, with no problem.
