I looking for anyone who is running this tire in this size and willing to comment. I realize they will give me a quieter softer ride and longer tread wear, but will I give up the nice turn-in of my RFs or are they about the same? I just don't want to get a new tire that will feel squirmy or sloppy.

Michelin MXV4 Plus is a comfortable Grand Touring All Season tire but it won't handle like a runflat and it doesn't perform well in wet conditions.

If you have any wet weather this is not a good choice considering so many good alternatives.

Generally you can't expect Grand Touring All Season tires to give you handling on par to runflats or most performance Summer tires (non runflat).

For comfort and long treadwear with better handling you can try-

In 205/50-16 (slightly less than stock tire diameter at 24.1")

In Ultra HP All Season tires:

For if your tire budget is larger and you want good handling in any weather and good street handling, with comfort and low noise with longer wear (at least 400 treadwear which is fairly good), then

Both are solid tires.

The reason why I don't really like the longer wear tires for the MINI is rubber gets hard as it ages so if you do low annual miles you may not get the full use out of longer wearing tires. Also if you drive hard, you will wear any tire out more quickly and the MINI is a driver's car not some MINIvan. So you'd do well to get some good handling tires with moderately good treadwear.
