Is specific wheel paint (Like duplicolor's wheel paint) a special paint that is better than regular enamel?

The reason I ask is because I used their Graphite Gray on my Team Dynamic wheels and it turned out great but its darker than I wanted. Today at Pep Boys I found that Dupli color has a Gun Metal "Truck Van & SUV" paint. I bought a test can and it may be closer to the color I am after. Will regular enamel with a clear coat be durable like (supposedly) the Duplicolor wheel paint?

Thanks,
k

paint is not great on wheels as it is easily chipped/damaged...
I'd check into a local powdercoating place and get a price for redoing the wheels ... mine charges about $25/$40 per wheel depending on damage condition... holds up tons better...
