Hankook Ventus K104 Ultra Hi Performance Tires

Anybody switch their run flats to these tires? I can get a set of four for about $90 shipped.

I do not recommend them. I had them on my previous car and they handle really bad in the wet. The dry grip is alright, but I would stay away.

I've been running them for about a year, and about 8,000 miles so far. I find the wet performance is fine, but I usually don't push it too hard when it's wet out. On dry roads they break loose kind of early, car tends to slide around a bit on fast corners. I've been on some MINI runs where the MINI I'm following is holding a strong line, while I'm scrubbing and sliding. Fine for everyday use, ride well, and fairly quiet.

$90 for 4 of them shipped? Hell I'll take four at that price.

I had Hankook k106 tires for awhile. They're a similar tread pattern, but only "high performance." Different rubber compound I suppose? Both are cheap Hankooks. They were adequate for daily driving, not great in the wet or at autocrosses, horrible in the snow. Grip broke away linearly. I would consider buying again, but they didn't last very long and I'm looking for something slightly grippier.

Yeah, I don't think mine would last 20,000 miles, already getting pretty worn out in the front. I am getting some new tires this spring, want to try some 215 size rubber.
