I am considering refinishing the R90 wheels on my '05 S, BBS 17” two piece. What I want to do is repaint the center section of all 4 wheels…maybe change the color too.
The plan is to disassemble each wheel; all fifteen 8mm triple square (12 point) bolts on each wheel, strip the center sections, repaint then reassemble the wheels.
Anyone done this job yet? What is the torque spec for the Triple square BBS bolts? Can I reuse the original BBS triple square bolts?

 

Did you ever get a answer to this? I too would like to do the same thing. Some guidance would be sweet

 

21 ft/lbs for the R90/R98's. I've dissassembled mine for cleaning and reused the bolts.Just add a little locktite when reassembling.
