I was told that 15" wheels won't clear the calipers. Anyone know if 16" wheels will?

Anyone know if 16" wheels will fit on an 06 JCW? I was told that 15" wheels won't clear the calipers, and I'm trying to set up a winter only package ASAP.

I believe that there are a few 16" wheels that will fit, including one OEM model, but it's tight. I'm sure someone here will have more detailed info.

 

Actually there are aftermarket 15" wheels that clear JCW brakes. You can go to the TireRack website and configure a 15" winter package for JCW:

Yes, as mentioned by rkw, you can fit 15" wheels from tirerack with winter tires on the newer MINIs R56 with JCW sized front brake calipers.

My current search shows 13 styles of 15" wheels available. And 31 styles of 16" wheels available.

 

I'm currently running 16" Wheels in my winter setup on my JCW and have no problems with clearance. I'm sure some 15" would fit given the amount of clearance I have on the 16". Also, I've read that some are running 15" with their JCW Brakes...
