Dunno if this has been answered at all, but does the R56 utilize the same bolt pattern as the R53 MCS? I may be getting a R56 and would like to know if I can transfer my wheels to it. Thanks in advance!

 

R56 uses 14mm bolts and (most) R53's are 12mm. (Ask me how i know this...)

 

Bolt size is NOT a consideration in fitting 1st Generation OEM wheels on an R56 because the bolt holes in the wheels are drilled large enough to accommodate either size.

The front brakes on R56 MCS models are the same size as JCW brakes for the 1st Generation MINI, so only 1st Generation OEM wheels that were compatible with JCW brakes can be fitted to an R56 MCS.

 

I doubt he'd want to move OEM R53 wheels to his poss R56. he's got aftermarket wheels

 

What about installing R56 wheels on a R53, any issues??? If I remember correctly, one can go R56 to R53, but sometimes not R53 to R56.
