Bolts/Nuts for Winter Wheel Set

Hi Folks,

I just took delivery of a MCS'03, B.R. Green/white roof, Premium & Sport w/ only 13.7K miles.

So since it is winter here in New England, I will be putting on a set of new Hankook winter tires with 15" steel wheels which I got on eBay.

I read a post in a different thread that one would need "12mm VW wheel bolts" or "Honda nuts" for install.

Is this true or can I use existing set (17" s-lytes) of bolts/nuts?

Thx,
BeantownMini

Did you ever figure out the solution? I was waiting for an answer because I have a set of brand new Blizzaks on steel wheels in my garage. On the MINI I have a set of well worn Blizzaks on Borbet rims. I'm hoping the wheels will bolt on with no changes, so I can avoid remounting or buying studs and bolts.

I'm also interested in knowing which bolt for steel wheels. I found the center caps. http://www.coopersport.com/usa/MINI-...s-p-16265.html

Your standard wheel bolts will work with steel wheels.

Hi All,

I had x-lites and didn't have to get anything new with the switch to steel wheels.

Thanks Chuck for responding.

We got another 3 inches of snow here in Boston. It's gonna be a long winter :-(

Happy Holidays!

BTM
