flaco: i have the same wheels and run 225.40.17 Hoosiers R6's. i also have a 13" TCE bbk. i need a 5mm spacer to clear my Spax coilovers (lowered more than an inch). no big deal. i need these with my 18" HRE street wheels as well. small spacers might solve the problem.....don't give up so easily!

not even sure why it's relevant to post about rubbing issues with a different wheel in a thread about something new coming out. it could be any wheel with that size and offset....nothing to do with SSR at all.

I have seen an ad in a "tuner" type magazine for them, so they are "officially" out I believe.

I was touching in the rear with 17x7.5ET42 and 215/45/17 RE01R's with -1.5R camber. 6mm more outboard = 6mm I need to cut out of the plastic. Dropping to a 215/40 will work better in this case.

Available in Japan:

I doesn't look like SSR will be making 18" with a 4x100 bolt pattern. A 17x7.5 will be available in a +42mm that weighs 15.6lbs.

$2100/set? <no thanks> That seems way out of line with expectations.

How about $1560 + shipping for a set?

Alex

that I'd be down with, but it shows $542/ea on the site.

Serious? How long is that good for? I am thinking about 16" in black or 17" in silver....damn that makes it more tempting...

PGT, should I get black or silver? If that came in a hyperblack 18" I'd be all over that *****.

ssr's are great but they are very light and will give you a lot of road feel and stiff bump responses...i've run them for a year now and that's my experience....they handle big city streets but chip very easily if you scratch them on something....light weight comes with a cost
