You think these XXR wheels will clear a brembo grand turismo frt brake kit?

Thanks

Not sure which kit that is. If yer talkin' about an R55-57 JCW Brembo's, I've yet to see any 16 fit over the front brakes, just 17's.

I just ordered these for my mini. I'm getting 4mm and 5mm spacers with the wheels as well. Hope the spacers will make the wheels work with the brembo's.

I've got 16's on my lowered second gen. I'm moving up to 17's next spring though.

It looks good. Quick question, per your picture, I think only front fog lamps are turned on how did you make it? or am I missing a basic concept?

Thats because everything is played out on the VW forums. They could be real LM's and they would still cry and moan and be unhappy.

It probably has to do with the low quality and finish of replica wheels.

true, but
1. cant afford lm's, but like the look.
2. need feedback from someone who has reps, and if they say its bad for real, then yeah reps are not the way to go. im not really all that excited about them, but the price is good and if the quality is there, then it makes sense...

true about the vw forums, they do whine about a lot, i thought this forum was bad but they're really really nittpicky

I wasn't saying you shouldn't get them. I was just explaining why they get a bad rap over on the VW forums. Wheels mean a lot to VW owners, so they want the best from their wheels. They'd rather save for real BBS rather than settling for a lower quality version from a company that steals designs.

I can tell from quite a few feet away when a wheel is a rep based on the quality. Are they super bad? No. Are they worse than the real wheels? Most definitely. Are they gonna break right away? No. Are they weaker than the real wheels? Certainly.
