Before I opened the thread, I was thinking... Oh no, this is going to be awful. But you know, it's actually not.

Just don't hang out in the bad part of town our the cops might think you're selling something that you're not (or at least I hope you're not).

Ehh not a fan.. That red Cooper on steelies looks fine though... I guess it just takes the right setup to pull it off, as with everything else.. Slam that b*tch and get some black wheels...

They look great; especially on a PW Cooper.

You can get white walls to fit on any 15 or 16 inch tire and as long as you have enough sidewall, they aren't prone to damage. Makes finding them a bit easier.

THAT's the way to do it. It could use a set of chrome lug nuts and stainless trim rings, though, for the real '50s look.

You can keep 'em spotless and bright.. but it'll take a bit o' work. I have a Road King with big whites.. I use Whestley's w/w cleaner and a Brillo pad. The key thing is to spray the Whestley's on the Brillo pad, and not on the whites - it will kill the clearcoat on your wheels (or aluminum if they're not clearcoated). Do one w/w at a time, and rinse it thoroughly - you'll love how easy it is to keep 'em clean.

I think those white walls would look great with wire wheels.

That might be a matter of one's perspective.

Kidding, I'm sure it's a fine town. And I hope the OP realizes I was making an innocent joke. Like I said, those tires actually look pretty good.

+1 on that. Too bad MINI's version of white isn't a real white- that would look, "uber-euro"? I dont envy your detailer.

Actually, I was trying to discourage the bickering and keep the thread on-topic about white walls. Folks posting their white walls are in keeping with the discussion.

I really hate when I see some old guy driving a crown vic pimpin the white walls. It looks so tacky.

But on a mini it looks quite classy. Esepcially on the P/W

Nice one

I dont think there was any bickering....kenchan and i have friendly discussions like that all the time in the wheel forums. The discussion was about the original and contemporary styles related to whitewalls and it was all in good fun.

Thanks

I think it was my sarcastic, joking reply that earned Clo's lecture. ("Thankfully")
