brembo/ porche brakes

does anyone know anything about doing a bbk and using porche brakes

Yes,

It's possible and expensive. Results would not be any better if not worse than other BBK.

Those are not Porsche rotors (they are not cross-drilled), they are only selling the calipers. For more info see http://iwsti.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67007

Besides, why send off to the UK when you can probably buy the exact same thing here for less money?

Bad Idea

The brake bias will be off by a staggering amount. You would not use the motor mounts from Porsche would you? Or the radiator? Or the wiring harness? IT IS NOT DESIGNED TO WORK ON A MINI and will be more detrimental than stock.

The VW guys put Porsche brakes on all the time. I was gonna do it to my 1.8T before I sold it. Same as any BBK.......

Yes, but you and I both know that homework means time and effort....it's easier to buy what someone tells you works then make excuses for it's poor performance.... Actually I think we covered this set up on depth some time ago and determined it was not such a great idea.
