Being a real noob, I hesitate to ask a question that has probably been covered previously. If if has, I can't find it. I want a second set of wheels on which to mount all season or winter tires. My question is.....will all MINI OEM 17" wheels work with JCW brakes without spacers? If not, which OEM 17" wheels will clear JCW calipers (stock JCW suspension) without using spacers?

I don't want to buy wheels and then have to worry about spacers, longer length lugs, etc.

Thanks for any insight you may have.

All of the MINI OEM 17" rims will fit over the JCW brakes. No special anything (including spacers) needed.

 

You should be fine.

All MINI wheels have holes drilled to 16mm so they will fit both older MINIs built before 7/12/06 and those built since then with 14mm bolts.

Aftermarket rims don't always fit- you have to be careful. Tirerack.com asks date of build for 2006 MINIs but not all vendors ask.
