Just saw where Wheelmax is having a Memorial day sale this weekend. They are also offering free shipping.

Anyone have any good or bad dealings with these guys?

Anyone know anything about Exel wheels?

I hope they're OK ,as I just purchased a set of Excel wheels and tires from them.$599 for wheels and tires was too cheap to pass up.How bad can they be,it has to be better than the stock wheels and runflats. The Mini dealer wants that much for one 17"wheel with a runflat.
I prefer the 17"wheel,and as I searched the web,It's a fortune to get a 17"lightweight wheel. The Excel supposedly weighs 19 lbs.I also paid $40 for balancing and bolts. If you buy from them, they don't supply the centering hubs,an extra $40 from performance wheel. It appears to me that I was going to spend at least $1000 for the same type setup from another discounter.I would prefer to deal with a reputable Mini source'but the similar type setup might have cost $1500 at my door.

I see several 17" excel wheel on their site, but none for $599.00. Please clue me in as to what design you purchased as I need to lose some weight on the corners

A couple of weeks back, I called to order wheels and virutally all of my choices were out of stock. Not only that, they acted like I was an idiot for not knowing that they were out of stock.

So I called SpeedAndStyle.com and bought my wheels there.

Tip: Don't be an A-Hole of you want my business.

Good luck!

Just called Wheelmax due to all the talk here. Asked for there 16x7s started giving me some choices. I asked for the weight of the wheels. "We don't have weights for the wheels". I asked a second time, no luck. Now let's see who else might I call?

Perhaps we're asking a lot of a dealer of $600 wheels and tires.I'm certain someone selling a similar setup for $1200 would be happy to talk at great length.I called Friday and a salesperson looked up weights for me;if his numbers were accurate they all weighed 19-21 for a 17' wheel.Excels were 19 Allesios were 21.I have notes on various wheel weights at my office,if you want to Pm me I'll go to the office tomorrow and check if I recorded a wheel that interests you.
When I called Friday the wheel I preferred, the excel Art was 799 I paid 599 Saturday,so it is a real sale.Even though I autox my MCS,my driving isn't good enough to care about a pound or two on a wheel.I've been driving 17"stock wheels and Goodyear runflats,my new setup has to be a great improvement
