After a decade of memories and adventure our beloved R56 turbo S has a head gasket failure. Posting here in case someone in the northeast has the ability to repair or use for parts.
Over the past few years, she has received new JCW wheels, new suspension and a host of other mods. Working AC, new timing chains and high pressure fuel pump. Cylinder had was walnut blasted twice, valves and springs replaced in 2019, wheel bearings replaced. Contact anytime to discuss. Currently at mini of Peabody. 339-225-0921.

Sorry to hear of your problems. Presumably if Mini of Peabody have the car they've quoted you a repair price. Is it so high you're dumping the car? CarGurus suggests a 2010 MCS with 122k on it has a retail of $8k (more as it's MT) and private sale price of about $7k. You've put quite a bit into the car already recently.

Best of luck, but it looks like someone with the know how is going to get quite a bargain.

seems none comeup in the Midwest, always on east or west coast..

Ha, I thought of you when I saw your cars for sale and a desire to get an R56. Have you looked at what it would cost to ship to WI? Shipping rates seem very high at present - when I've got the "quick estimate" from the auction sites - eg. about $2800 for an R52 from CA to MA, so that's a no go.

Could be a good candidate for an upgraded N18 install - not sure anyone has actually achieved this. MiniToBe (I think it was) got a fair way along at one point.
