quick question about OEM struts

I have a 04 MCS with 32k miles and iam thinkin about lowering it, when iam gonna be taking everything apart iam thinkin about puttin some new struts ( oem's but with lower millage ) My question is : are all the struts from all the years are the same (2002-2006) ? iam thinkin about gettin some 05-06 struts, becasue its gonna be easier to find them with low millage

Thank You for all the help

Not the reply you're looking for but unless the other OEM struts are free (or yours are damaged) they won't be worth the effort.

I believe the earlier ones 02 are different. Your car is an 04 so the 05 or 06's will fit just fine.

I don't understand the reasoning about putting another set of stock struts on. At 32,000 miles are yours shot?

they are not shot, but i know that aftermarket springs will kill oem faster than stock springs, so higher millage struts would go bad most likely faster than some with lower millage... I dont want to drop it to much , maybe a 1"- 1.5" the most...

Thank You guys for all reply's
