front control arms

My Mini need new front control arms acording to the Mini shop, but with labor charges they want way too much for the job. So being new to the Mini world I am not sure where to go for parts I looked at the vendor list and thats alot of vendors. which vendors control arms are good to get? and if I do the front control arms is there anything else I should do at the same time?

Stick with factory if you still intend to daily rive your car.
Why do you need new arms? It's not a part that can fail as far as I know, unless you hit something.
I'd stay with factory and think about the Alta rear bushing replacements.

I'm to poor to try them out, but ive heard some say that unsprung weight is worth 4x itself in sprung weight. So losing 2.5 lbs per arm saves the same as 20 lbs in the whole car i guess. But the do look really cool seem stronger than the stock part.

thanks for the info and the link, the dealership says that its the uper control arm that is going bad, i guess its the rubber inserts. but if I have to replace them I might as well do both the upper and the lower. When I get the $$ to do it I will let you know how it goes.

No upper in the fronts. A bit confusing on just why you woud need all new control arms if the bushing is bad.
