ALTA endlinks help

I got the ALTA rear endlinks. I have the ALTA 22mm swaybar. The car is lowered on M7 springs. I know they need to be shorter than the stock endlinks. How do I know where the correct setting is at?

For an "Anti Roll Bar" to work its best the "arm" should be as horizontal as possable... With the weight of the vehice ON THE GROUND.

Just set them close (maybe a bit shorter) than stock then put the wheels back on and look through the spokes to see the part of the bar that should be flat / horizontal.

Being flat gives the bar its true actual mechanical advantage.

it is a bit hit and miss

When I have my car aligned they will adjust to flat. As they can reach the end link, and the wheels are on the hoist (weight on wheels)

Would this also work?

Jack up the rear end of the MINI.

Place two jackstands under the back end to hold up both wheels.

Remove the wheels and remove the stock endlinks.

Won't the rear swaybar hang horizontally? No load.

Then put in the adjustable endlinks to keep the bar horizontal. It's possible the lengths of the two endlinks will not be identical.

You want to adjust the links with the drivers weight in the car. That way the swaybars have no preload. So it needs t be on the ground, or rack and level.

I wouldnt get to concerned about having the drivers weight in the car, unless you are actually corner weighing the car. But by all means, do it if you can, but its not critical in a street car. If you like to autox or track, then i would go out of my way to have no preload (i remember the days of my car turing tighter one way than the other, hahah).
