Megan factory updated...

I spoke with Steve yesterday. Megan have taken time to anaylize the stroke length a little more and are using different front spring lengths - this is a new development. The new shorter bump stops are part of the new kit as well.

Steve also told me that every mini kit will be prepared in advance. By prepared he means that the cylinders will be turned into the lower sleeves and spring perch heights all set when they are shipped. This is being done to eliminate what might be causing some of the inconsitency in operation. Specifically, if the the cylinders are not screwed into the lower sleeves as far as possible first, there is a chance that the cylinders will be set too high causing all sorts of problems. Obviously this means that a given ride height will be assumed.

I will get more specific info today about ride height etc, but I plan to use the new kit this year. It will be installed in about 6 weeks and my first track event will be end of April/beginning of May.

I move out of my house in 3 weeks, I'm gone for the next two weeks, and I've been waiting on the 'fix' to be sent to me for about 3 months now. The Batmini may be getting shipped overseas without the fix.

I'm interested in what the front lengths and rates will be. Any word on rear pillowball mounts?

I didn't see any responses, so I did call Steve. I'll call him Mon/Tues.

I wouldn't expect to a pillow ball for the rear...if you are racing, just use a poly upper shock bushings.

Rate is the same - 469#, but I cannot remember the length, but I beleive they are longer so that the damper can screw farther into the lower cylinder.

Wagnbat,

Just give Megan a call and ask for the new stuff.

I've been PM'ing Steve for the last 9-12 weeks doing just that. I guess a call is in order though.
