Im getting a set of used KW varient 2 coilovers and wounderdif the bodies/struts have always been stainless inox,as they look polished in the picture that ive seen of the ones im getting but i just wanted to be sure.Im pretty sure its just the varient ones that are galvanized and not stainless unless you pay more.is this correct

KW switched all their coilovers (variant one, two, and three) to stainless steel at the beginning of 2004. Before that, they are all galvanized steel. The older version have a gold plated anti-corrosion on them, but they are useless. If your used set has a mirror polish silver surface, that's pretty much the inox series.

I can atest to how well the inox holds up. I have V3s on my 318ti and after a couple salty Indiana winters they have no corrosion on them, and are still easy to adjust.
