R56 shocks

Anybody from across the pond know if the aftermarket shock applications from the R50/R53 will fit the R56?

The R56 suspension is different than the R50/R53. The front struts on the R56 have about an inch more travel (I *think* the rears are about the same).

The front struts and rear shocks are very similar looking to the R50/53, however for sure the front struts use a smaller diameter spring, so right there they're not totally compatible. On top of that, the rumor of greater suspension travel implies different mounting points or damper configuration. The rear shocks look extremely similar to the R50/53; I can't spot a difference at a quick glance.
