R56 Suspension?

Does anyone know if its possible to transfer coilovers a camber plates from a R53 to a new R56?

Interesting question...the rear trailing arm is apparently the same as the one found on the GP. So I would also assume that the relationship to the unibody is the same. I've read a few articles that indicate not much has changed up front. I think the best place to look now is Mini USA or try to find out thru a parts guy at a Mini dealership.

I'm sure this will become a more common question in the next few months. Let us know how you make out.

I've read that the R56 is supposed to have more suspension travel. Could they do that without changing the struts or by only changing the struts?
Clearly I don't know what but if it is true, something had to change.

BMW is talking about a major facelift, from R50 / R52 ... R56, so probably they only modified the suspension parts.

I expect that you can retrofit the R56 parts to the existing Mini, but you will need to replace more than just the shocks, prob also the springs ... and perhaps some more parts
