Spax Coilover Shocks
I'm seriously considering buying the Spax coilover shocks made for pre March 2002 Minis, and putting them on my 2004 Cooper S.
Minimania has them on sale for $700 (vs $1300 for post 2002 version).

I know the sway bar attachs to the shock at a different point. My question is this: Is that the only difference between the pre-2002 and post-2002 shocks?
In other words, can I install these shocks if I decide to disconnect the front swaybar?
