Ride Quality

About 1 month after picking up my 3 month old MCS JCW, I installed the JCW suspension and immediately felt an improvement in ride quality. A few weeks after, I installed R90 Anthracites with 215/45 17 Dunlop SportMax tires. Ride quality seemed to deteriorate even though the SportMax was rated highly by TireRack for ride quality. I'm running 34 PSI. Any thoughts about or experience with the Dunlops?

What tires did you have on before the switch?

you had dunlop runflats before? 16" or 17" wheels?
as your sidewall height gets shorter due to a larger rim your ride deteriorates.

And, if you add runflats (on either 16 or 17 inch rims), and your ride will deteriorate even further.

A progressive spring set with FSD's and 16" rims will be one of the better rides. I've got 17's with GY d3's and it's much better than stock 17's & RF, but 16's with a nonRF 50 profile will work even better with very little trade off of performance. Mine is a DD so comfort is up there in the priorities.

I guess my concern with progressive springs is after the first ~20% of compression - then things get harsher than with the stock linear (non-progressive) springs.
