Suspension H-sport race rear sway bar
H-sport race rear sway bar
hello all, is anyone out there running the new race rear bar? The soft a middle settings are only slightly stiffer than the middle and stiff on the comp bar. Basically, i know im going to run the comp on the middle of the comp, even before i upgrade to their sport front bar (which i will probably run on soft). Just curious mostly if anyone has it and what they think of it. I just doubt that i will ever run it on stiff, which pretty well negates the purpose of buying it, ecpecially since its not hoolow, which is what atracted me to h sport in the first place. thanks

Even if you dont plan on running it on the stiffest setting it might be worth it to get. Check out the second link below. Oh yea....Search button is your friend

yeah, i had used the search and read all that stuff already (and the search is how i never had to post on here before, everything i ever needed to know has been discused, except the use of this particular bar), but none of them actually used it, and i was just curious if that extra 10 percent or so in the first two settings made the car too loose, and what was the third setting like if the the front bar was set to stiff for example. None of that stuff was covered, just the fact that it existed. But thanks for trying to help, i do appreciate it

please ignore my previous post... must have been pre-coffee. i just realized you are talking about the race bar. Sorry about that.
I can give you some insight on running the competition bar. I tried running it on the stiffest setting and the back kept stepping out (without inducing lift off oversteer) So it looks fun when you are going sideways around an off ramp, but i dont really think thats responsible, so i dialed it back to the medium setting. Now the car feels perfect; back of the car is well mannered, unless in induce some lift oversteer. I think you could still get away with running the race bar on the softest setting, but anything more than that on the street might be pushing it. As for the 10% difference... i doubt you would be able to feel a difference. Hope this helps you decide.
Again sorry bout the confusion.

no problem, i kind of figured you hadnt realized i was talking about the actual h-sport race bar, cause alta calls their big one the race, and its about the same as the hs comp. No problems, I think i will just go with the comp bar, i dont think the extra hundred bucks are worth if for the few times (if any) i actually use the stiff one.
by the way, i like you signature, especially the first one (im not a huge fan of blowers, sorry), but in the old days (sounds weird, a 22 year old saying that) they use to destroke and sleve their engines for certain classes of recing to be on the small end of the size range, and beat the pants off the big engines cause they could rev so much faster and higher. This was before they invented drag races tho, and fuel injection, and ecu's...
thanks again,

back to the subject at hand, I am sure you will be happy with the comp bar.
