Suspension to H-Sport or not to H-sport
I had a bit of trouble a month or so ago... I had an H-Sport (comp) rear sway installed at the Dragon, but a week or so after I got home, I heard a faint clunking sound in the back. We had just had a big temperature shift (it hit near 100 degrees), so I thought a shock was drying out a bit. My wife took it for a drive and said that she thought she heard something fall off.
I put the back end up in the air and pulled the wheels... The 2 bolts that hold the passenger side bracket and bushing for the sway both backed themselves out and the bracket and bushing was lost on the roadside. The bolts on the driver's side were both loose as well. I trust the installer and I've heard of this happening to other H-sports. I reinstalled the factory bar because I still had that part and both of the factory bushing/bracket assemblies.
I would recommend a touch of loc-tite when installing these 4 bolts.

i love my h-sport rear bar. the springs, the jury is still out. on practically brand new struts, they take a lot of the fun OUT of the mini, meaining the feeling of razor sharp steering.. even on the track. i only have about 500 miles on the springs and i can tell already some linear coilovrs are in my future to bring her back to the way she felt stock.

Swaybar size doesn't matter, but its contribution to your package does. What works for some will not work for others. The Webb bar, in my opinion, allows the widest adjustment range - even softer than stock. If you're playing games with springs dampers on the track, set the bar softer than stock is not as far fetched as most think.
Swaybars transfers weight off the rear and big bars do faster...not always a welcome trait.

For what it's worth, I have the Madness 3-way 22mm bar and it's been great. Will probably move up to a matched front/rear set if Webb or Peter ever does that
I was going to post a similar question tonight. I have a H-sport comp. bar in the garage waiting to be installed but I was talking with people at the dragon who said it was too much for the street. One ever said he spun a MINI when he wasn't even pushing hard. I don't know him very well so I don't know his driving skill. He said he was a regular autocrosser and that it scared the crap out of him that it swaped ends so easily. Two vendors told me the bar created dangerous oversteer and recommended a lighter one. Two other venders said it was perfect (I do know them better honestly) but I don't want the car to be a tail happy monster. I autocross a bit and want some of the understeer gone but now I'm wondering if I got too much bar. I'm a fairly good driver but I'm not Schumacher and I don't wait to create a car that is more than a handful to drive. More opinions would be great.

In my limited experience, when a MINI finally decides it's time to break the back end loose, it comes around very very quickly. If I'm not expecting it to happen, there's no chance I can save it. Even when I am expecting it to happen / provoking it on purpose, it's probably still a 50/50 chance that I can save it.
I've got the RDR (now Helix) 22.5mm bar, and use it on full soft. I have to do pretty much everything wrong for it to want to spin with it on the softest setting.
I moved it to the middle setting for a few hours, and decided that I was not a good enough driver to keep it there, and moved it back to the softest setting. If I were to start over, I'd get a rear swaybar that had a softer "lower end" than the Helix. I'm not sure how the Helix bar compares to the H-Sport comp, but it's probably a good idea to go with a bar more in the middle of the range so you can actually use the full range of adjustments.

Anyway, listen to Buddha, he says buy the Webb Extreme bar. Plus the red anodizing will make atleast 10whp more, expecially on a TC car

My experience has been as long as I drive smooth, the back end stays in line, and I don't have any fear of sliding out. But the moment I start to disrespect that bar, with a flick of the wrist the back end WILL slide out...... The H-sport bar with the M7 USS feels very nice and stable on the twisties.
