H&R cup kit and Bilstein goodies

I just wanted to share these toys with all my new friends!! What are your thoughts on these:

http://www.h-r.com/index.php?inhalt=...t-a&sprache=en

Click MINI on the right hand side of the page. H&R cup kit, 50mm front, 30mm rear, damping adjustable on the top of the strut in the front, Rears have to come off to make adjustments.

http://katalog.bilstein.de/

After a couple pages you will find the B14, AKA PSS, non dampening adjustable PSS9. I wrote to see how this damper compares to the settings of the PSS9. From what I saw it appears to be the PSS9 on the softest setting.

There is also the B12, a matched spring shock combo with 30mm lowering and no damper adjustment.

I am waiting on spring rate info on all the above and will post when I hear something.

H&R wrote me back with the spring rates for the cup kit. They say the springs are progressive but only give one rate. 30n/mm front=171lb/in, 38n/mm rear=217lb/in

I spoke with Bilstein today. They couldn't give me spring rates for the B12 but said it is approx. 20% stiffer than stock. The B14 uses the spring from the B16, PSS9, and the dampening is set at "6" compared to the PSS9. Also, I was wrong about the H&R, it is not dampening adjustable.

I saw it for 760 euro. Being an American living in Germany I can get it without paying tax which takes the price down to about 646 euro. Depending on the exchange rate, approx. $800.

Wouldn't it make more sense to spend the extra $200-500 and just get coilovers?

that's what I decided to do. Getting the Koni coilovers with height and damping adjustment, along with the alta 22mm.
