Thanks Mike. In fact, only after 2 days I'm prepared to put this mod almost at the top of my list! I drove a stock '06 MCS and was depressed at how little all my engine mods have done for my car, but my BBK and now the alignment mods make my car stand out above stock. It turns in so well, and just seems stuck to the road. I can't wait for a little spirited twisties soon!
cheers,

Mike87 - Is your Mini a 05 or later? If so, how is it that yours installed perfectly fine but Markbradford had interference problems with his?

Markbradford - What suspension do you have, and what is your camber without the IE plates?

No, my MCS is an '03. I think that is why I had no issues installing mine. As I understand it, there was a change to add some stiffining ridges that do not allow the strut (spring) to move close enough to the body to gain -2 degrees. I think the fix is to pound the ridges flat. You might confirm this with someone who has done it though.

Good Luck,
Mike

Yes, if you want -2deg front camber or more, you must pound the ridges on the left shock tower (driver's side) flat, or close to flat. The results are not visible unless you jack the car up and remove the wheel, so the cosmetic consequences are extremely minimal. The right hand side does not have the ridges going up inside the shock tower, so no problems. I am running -1.9deg without any interference or noise eminating from the front suspension.

cheers,
