Rear Control arms

I'm about to replace my rear control arms. I have narrowed them down to the Helix and the Alta. 179.00 and 199.00 respectively.

Anyone have experience with either? Quality? Aluminum? (helix) over PC steel? (Alta).

Both are heim jointed with teflon inserts.

Any insights are appreciated.

I went for the Helix/RDR ones because I was so impressed with their camber plates. The arms have arrived but I haven't installed them yet... they look good... they're supposedly really light compared with the H-Sports, not sure how much lighter than the Altas. The bushings are metal, so I expect the ride to get a bit harsher...

Ireland engineering with poly for the street. Hiem joints available for track or road if you don't mind a little more noise. None with the poly. I installed all four. 1,200 miles and one 110 mile track day, no problems or sqeaks.

I went with the Alta because Helix was having trouble at the time getting the bushings for their arms. Alta talks about their heim joints use a fine thread in order to be as strong as possible, but it may be the same for all brands. I am very happy with my Altas & have no noise or complaints at all, and they have very good service.

I have the H-sport control arms. I was going to go with Helix, however Eric felt it was wiser to go with H-sport, living here in the Northeast where we use tons of salt in the winter. Apparently the bushings used in the Helix arms are sensitive to this. If you're not going to drive in the winter/salt, go for Helix, otherwise Alta or H-sport are fine choices as well.

I have'm, I like'm...no complaints. I did not opt for heim joints. My personal experience on the road was not good with heim joints, but I drive 600-1,200 miles a week. This kind of mileage will rattle heim joints to death. I have poly.
