Struts from Japan

I finally went through some of the MINI goodies I brought back from Japan. One of the first things that caught my attention were these crazy $3000 struts with what looks like a very heavy duty strut tower support plate.

I'm not going to rush out and spend $3000 for these, but I wonder if these would help out with the mushrooming problems many of us have, considering the size of those plates?

Looks like they're from a company called Aragosta. I don't know if it's the same Aragosta from the Netherlands...

They're available from Racers (english translation) and Bean's (which is where I noticed them). More info on their website: http://www.aragosta.co.jp

So who would spend this kinda of money for these?
