Since Otis is now officially the "weekend warrior"...it was time for some coil overs.

im a noob so im gna ask....what are all the mods you have to do to your car to get a stance like this..Rear adj control arms, front/rear adj camber plates, lowering springs, what type of wheels are those? Any pros and cons to such a lowered car with such an amazing stance? Im looking to get a stance somewhat like this...maybe not as agressive.

^ those look like 18" wheels. Look like a expensive wheel... prolly between 1k-2k a set. Car looks to be on coilovers.... theres many coilovers available for the car. I think RLCA's are mostly used to reduce rear tire wear to pull the wheels back into OE alignment. But this car looks like it has a little bit of negative camber in the back to allow for what looks like the low offset for the back wheels. So RLCA's in the aspect of reducing tire wear wouldn't help since this car seems to have negative camber in the back and could cause cupping and increased tire wear on the inside of the tires.

I'm pretty familiar with my mini but I would really like to know a little more about the suspension. I am about to order a 22mm rear sway bar. I would like to know the best and most cost affordable way to lower the car. If I just purchase springs will it be ok and have no issues or would I have to buy shocks too? Also, what brands have been the best? I've seen H-R, M7, Eibach, and some others. Oh, I am just running the stock S-Lite wheels and I just purchased web-spokes. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Im new here. Lowered on H&R springs. 15mm spacers. Wanted to get it looking a little more beefy while keeping the stock look. Rides good, no rub.

Finally time to add to this thread...

2006 JCW
- ST coilovers (lowered to around 0.25 inch wheel gap -- daily driver...)
- Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheels 17x7.5et45
- BF Goodrich Rival tires (215/45-17)
- 5 mm spacers up front, none in back

I also added an extra pic of the jolly roger on the roof for those who need their daily "Arrr!"...
