MC sway bar question

I'd like to ask the knowledgeable people on this board, what size is the stock MCS (Sports Plus) rear sway bar, and what size is the Sports sway bar. Are they the same?

In other words, I have a standard 05 MC, no Sports + suspension. If someone took the rear sway bar off of their MCS to upgrade, wouldn't their old SS+ bar be an upgrade for me ?

Seems like everytime someone upgrades their rear SB, there should be an old stock one that needs a home.

Hey, the same thing was posted and answered over at Mini2.com

The conclusion is, the 17mm rear sway bar from a SS+ suspension will be an upgrade for your normal SS suspension (which comes with 16mm rear sway bar), but the difference isn't really big enough to be worth your time to install one. You're better off going with atleast 18mm, or best, 19mm for a SS suspension Cooper.

Thanks, X, for the link and the concise and perfect answer. I guess there's an H-Sport in my future.

Guess I ought to hang out a little more over at MINI2. So many threads, so little time!
