Suspension Baseline settings for Ledas?
Baseline settings for Ledas?
I managed to score a good set of Leda coilovers, and I am planning to put them on the MINI S before the autocross this weekend.
I can handle leveling the car, corner weighting, and so on, but I have no idea where to set the damping ***** for the initial run (not to mention for the street).
The car runs on 225/50-15 Kumho V710s at the autocross. These particular tracks are usually about 1.3 miles long and include some fast (60-70 mph) turns - it's a BIG autocross.
At any rate, any street/track/autocross settings you could provide as a baseline would be much appreciated.
These particular Ledas have the typical large **** on the side, with a flat-blade accessable clicker in the middle of the ****. I am also totally ignorant as to how to use these two, so advise there would help also.
I managed to win in E class at the first race this season, against modified M3s and the like (it's the local BMW CCA), so I'm hoping to extend my lead this weekend.
Thanks in advance!
Mike

Um, OK, perhaps my question was too pathetic.
Well anyway, just for the record, I did figure out that the screw in the center of the **** serves the vital function of... holding the **** on! D'oh.
I have the Ledas installed now, and I've got the ride height adjusted at each corner. Now the next step is cross-weighting the car.
I've got the dampers set at five clicks in at the front, and eight clicks in at the back. Gotta start somewhere...

Alright, for posterity here are my settings:
Front (300 lb springs): Street 10 clicks in, autoX 15 clicks in
Rear (400 lb springs): Street 8 clicks in, autoX 13 clicks in
I won my class by over two seconds this time, so they at least didn't hurt my chances!
