Yes, but the BMP brace is hinged, which puts it out of contention as far as I'm concerned.

And yes, I'm more than familiar with the for and against arguments and competing analyses on that subject. But if nothing else, the bottom line is that you may lose effectiveness with a hinged design, but there's zero downside to non-hinged. So the rational choice is non-hinged.

Of course what you'd really want to do is weld tubes back to the firewall, but hey, that's a whole 'nother thing.
