o5 sport suspension

I have an 05 MCS, I opted for the sport suspension.
Ok what did I really get?? Is the sway bar stiffer? Are the spring different?
I have 17" run flats and I am seriously thinking about the Intrax lowing springs.

stiffer springs is all, I believe.

If you are getting lowering springs you should stick with what works best Like H-Sport, M-7 and others. Never heard of the ones you mention.

I's recomend reading this page http://www.webbmotorsports.com/faq.php

uh.. I never thought you had a choice with the MCS. They all come with sport suspension PLUS standard. If you are talking about the difference between the sport suspension (only avail on MC, MCC, MCSC) then for sure springs and rear sway are different, i'm not sure what else though.

::Nods:: The MCS has standard SS+... If you upgrade from an MC it has different springs and rear sway bar.

S Convertible suspension

I've come to the realization that my MA made a boo boo. I have a MCS convert arriving in about 2 weeks. (Hi again windmeup)

MINI of Sterling had no S convert for me to test drive. I drove a Cooper convert and a S hardtop. I fell in love with the S hardtop suspension, the feel in the wheel etc. The steering wheel to tire patch feel was remarkable and that was my #1 clincher for buying a MINI. Couldn't believe the two felt so different. Well after I ordered my car I discovered the Sports Plus existed. Since I was only considering a convert on which it's not available it never showed up in the web config system.

I emailed my MA and asked if the S hardtop I drove had Sports or Sports Plus. He said regular sports so I stopped worrying for two months.

From what I've found in the past two days it appears ALL S hardtops have Sports Plus and he was wrong. And that I've order based on assuming the convert coming is going to feel like the S I drove.

Guess I just have to wait and see how it feels. But I'm feeling a bit of anxiety over this. I suppose I can with the help of everyone figure out what route to go if needed to swap parts to get there.

I'll have some play money left over so if I need to do shocks, sway or springs I will be able to, but want to 'guess' right.

Guess the next step is to wait for MY car and report on it's first drive.
