Coilover “starting point”

Hey guys,

I finally got forced to spend money on my suspension (every corner is blown now ). I went cheaper with the Rev9 Hyperstreet 2s with 5mm spacers, new bushings for the rear mounts, and adjustable rear control arms.

Since I don’t have a stock shock to compare a baseline height to, does anyone have any recommendations for length to start with? I am just running stock 17s with 205/45 tires. I want to drop it as low as practical essentially with minimal rubbing.

I have the dampening set at 20/32 in the front and 19/32 in the rear currently. I think my plan is to run -2 degrees in the front and -1.5 in the rear based off what I’ve been reading?

Any other install tips would be awesome, still waiting on some parts and this is my first time!!

Sunroof or non sunroof car? I ask because from what I’ve seen on my own cars, sunroof cars sit about 1/4” -3/8” lower than slicktops.

happy to grab you a ground to fender lip measurement off the one car that isn’t up in the air as jsut a general idea of stock ride height if that would be of help.

That would be awesome. Front and rear if possible, and I’ll take any other measurements (fender to ground etc) if you’re willing!
My car is a sunroof car. Perfect timing for the random response, was planning to dive into that task this week!

With 1/2 tank fuel, stock sized tires.

25.25 FL and FR

25.75 RR

25.00 RL

measured with yardstick from ground up thru center of logo on wheel to fender lip.

that will at least get you in the ball park.of stock heights, or let you know how much lower than stock your coils are.

Sweet, I appreciate it. Didn’t even think of tire size either, I’m on a 215/55/17 so yeah I’ll be different. Ballpark is all I am after thank you
