Information/parts request

I am gathering parts for a suspension upgrade to my '04 Cooper. My plan is to have two complete sets of struts/springs, so that I may drop the car for Spring, Summer and Fall, and then raise it back to stock for the Winter...

I currently have a set of stock S struts, spring 'hats', and mania drop springs. What I need info on, are the nuts, washers etc. that will be required at the top of each assembly. Does anyone have a picture of a disassembled strut/ spring assembly, or is there an exploded diagram anywhere online?

I don't want to wait until I pull the struts out to see what is required and then go hunting for nuts and washers!

TIA,

the hardest part of front strut changing is compressing the spring and removing the upper bearing assembly. Why don't you get another set of upper bearing assemblies and leave them attached to the struts. then swapping the struts would be much simpler.

Send me an e-mail, and I'll send you an assembly page.

Ah, 'strut bearings'...I had a brainfart and used 'hats' in my original post! I have the bearings for all 4, I just need the nuts and any associated washers to hold it all together...

Dan, email on the way...thanks!

You could install an airbag suspension and raise and lower it at will.
