Replacement Swift springs for Cross JIC

I was speaking to Jan about getting some replacement springs for my Cross JIC setup I bought from him many moons ago, but he's not replying. Guessing either something has happened to him or it's not worth bothering with just supplying the springs to the UK.

I know the original springs were 400 lb front, 337lb rear, but that's all the info I have. I've found a supplier in the UK, but I'm short of the details I need to make a purchase. Does anyone know what springs are required for the Cross JIC setup for a road R53? Think I am slightly more nose heavy as I have a 1.8T VW engine rather than the 1.6, but the Cross JIC was always fine.

Needs -
Spring length:
ID:
Rate (F/R):

Found them all listed here: https://www.driftworks.com/suspensio...ilover-springs

Would be most grateful if anyone has switched their springs to Swift from the stock ones, or knows what Jan usually provides?

Thanks.

Hi Chap
Try these guys... based in the uk, as a suspension house, they might be a better bet than driftworks
you might be able to send your existing units complete or just the springs. They can dyno and measure to match existing

I had swift on my bc but not via jan,
did your coils come via Ben or 1320 to save shipping costs?
As I’m not aware of too many owners in uk that had these back in the day.

regards Al

ps do you still own those Union Jack recaros ?

I've still got the recaros, but plain black leather. Still running the 1.8 turbo VW engine too. Years of daily driving it as well as track days so treated it to a respray this year, and a new sound system as the speakers rotted away.

I got the coilovers from Jan before Ben or 1320 started to get them. Thanks for the link, they do look more reasonably priced. Guess I'll just have to get the car on the ramp and pull the springs to measure them was just hoping for a lazier route so could pull and swap them in one go 😀
