Suspension H&R coil overs or Bilstein B8's with H&R lowering springs?
H&R coil overs or Bilstein B8's with H&R lowering springs?
Picked up a Mini with a full set of H&R coil overs on it, but also have a brand new set of Bilstein B8's and H&R lowering springs. Plan on autocrossing and tracking the car next year. Should I leave the Coil overs on or swap them out for the Bilsteins??
If the coilovers are in good condition, I would keep them on the car. The coilovers will let you dial in the ride height, which can help adjust the handling of the car. For strictly a daily driver, I would suggest swapping out he shocks and springs. For your goals, I would keep the coilovers installed.
The coil overs look ok, not all beat up, may consider selling them because the ride height seems to be about rite for me with the H&R springs and Billsteins. Plus the Bilsteins are brand new
I thought the main advantage of having coilovers is to be able to adjust both the damping along with the ride height.
Is that the case with H&R coils (I'm not familiar with them) because if its just limited to front and rear height adjusting then that's not worth keeping. Especially if your good with the height the regular springs offer. Selling could reimburse you for your current set up.
