Mini cooper s r56 suspension

Hello,
I would like to ask you if someone has an experience of bilsten b6 and koni special active with oem sport springs?
Which one would be better much the mini cooper s r56. I use my car as a daily drive and the roads are very pumby. I dont want to go lower...Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance,
Sincerely Zisis

I was in the same boat as you and actually went with B8's which is the "sports" version which are made to work with shorter spring set up. From me I specifically wanted to keep my linear JCW springs which are tighter (higher spring rate) and slightly shorter than OEM mini springs. I didn't go with B6's because those are touring shock that is softer and I wanted a tighter sporty feel. Before installing the Bilsteins my car would shift sideways when going over potholes or large dips in the road. OEM shocks just don't cut it. I also purposely didn't go with Koni's because I didn't want to guess with the adjustments, plus they don't last as long. Koni's seem to have short working life and I figured with me driving on rough Baltimore/DC roads the shocks would be worked to death, and I wanted something more durable. The Bilsten sports with JCW springs is a homerun for me for now, but I do plan on getting coilovers when I start doing timetrial runs and autox next summer.

We sell and install both the Bilsteins and the Konis. And I can tell you we've been much happier with the Konis for quality of ride. So I highly recommend them and think you will be happy with the ride. Also they have the rebate right now. We have both old Koni FSD Gold and the new Red SA versions in stock

I recently installed Koni Adjustable Sport shocks paired with the original Mini Cooper Sport springs on my 2013 S. So far the difference is outstanding.
I also upgraded my tires to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. It feels as if I’m driving with 4 suction cups holding my Mini “ dialed in” on both curves and straight road surfaces.PS.I just had the H&R Sport Springs installed. I was afraid of too much lowering and fender and tire rubbing. I am pleased as the car was lowered about 3/4" all around. I haven't really taken my Mini out on the road and given it a good test, but so far the ride home from the shop didn't feel rough at all. Very similar to the stock feeling. So far so good.
