Cutting springs on a 2003 Mini cooper

I know that cutting springs is a bad idea, I get it .
My question is, that I have a 2003 Mini Cooper base model 5 speed and I am interested in cutting the springs until I buy full body's, is it possible to cut the springs or are these springs not able to be cut and how much could I take off safely

Don't cut the springs. With the behive spring shape you won't be able correctly reinstall the fronts after cutting them.
If you want to lower it cheap we have a few options

I second the advice that after you cut the coils front or back they will not sit right in their spring purches. You will have a disaster in your hands to deal with.
